MyLoopies Values

Updated: Sep 2, 2025

I'm not sure what or where myloopies will end up, but I just want to jot down some of the brand values here:

  1. Do it with heart

  2. Focus on value delivery

  3. Improve continuously

Those are my three guiding principles when operating this brand.

Do it with heart

"Do it with the heart" to me means no matter what the product is, I want to do it right, with integrity and, of course, with effort. Any product I put out, I want to be able to tell you and myself that I've poured all my heart into it. I want to do things right by you with a do-no-harm attitude.

Focus on value delivery

About delivering values, I first think about my fellow crocheters and the end users I designed for. If it doesn't bring you value, I won't put too much focus on it as it's not going to be useful, nor will you like utilizing it. Tangent: have you ever had a product with questionable feature(s) where you're wondering when you'll ever use this or why would they even include it?

Let's take modern-day cars with touchscreen control boards instead of physical buttons as an example. This feature has created numerous frustrating scenarios for drivers. My cousin, in particular, was understandably not happy when he had to navigate through five different screens to turn down the AC. This, to me, is a faulty design that not only doesn't bring value but also puts users in dangerous situations.

Improve Continuously

I want to create products that provide value to the user. If it doesn't present value to you, then I will stop. That brings me to my next point, which is "Improve Continuously". I want to provides you with value as much as possible, and the only way to do so is through continuous improvement based on your feedback.

My approach is to operate on short iterations with quick value delivery, feedback gathering, and then iterating upon it. Thus, your feedback is tremendously valuable in helping me improve the products. Just a caveat though, my skin is thin, so please be gentle with your feedback. All constructive criticism is welcome :).

I uploaded my ice cream scoop and cone pattern to YouTube recently. I'm happy that my viewers gave me the time and provided me with feedback to improve my pattern. The latest version is now on my website. Please don't be shy and let me know what else you'd like to see, as I'm always looking for ways to improve.

Thank you for reading thus far. This is still a work-in-progress, and I would love to hear your thoughts.

As always love you, stay safe, and crochet on.

Love,

Your Fellow Loopies
